Morgan Jones

Trainer

Growing up, I couldn’t get enough horse time. I loved riding, caring for them, and learning about them. There wasn’t a learning opportunity I passed up. I was actively involved with 4H’s educational programs, and competed in American Quarter Horse Association’s horse shows. I spent countless hours working with mentoring trainers. I finally received a scholarship to ride for Baylor University’s NCAA Women’s Equestrian team. I rode Western Horsemanship and Reining. I graduated in 2011 with a Bachelors in Business majoring in Distribution Management and Technologies (now known as Supply Chain Management) and Marketing.

My neighbor, Miriam Taylor shared and enjoyed my passion for horses, and we spent countless hours caring for and appreciating them. That’s where the name came from. She is responsible for so many of the learning opportunities I had as a young person. She was a brilliant person, a woman ahead of her time. Her mentorship to me really shaped me as a person. If it wasn’t for her, I might not have pursued my love of horses as a young person as far as I did.

Not long after graduation, my parents passed away. In 2014, I started teaching horseback riding part-time and Taylor Estate Ranch was born. In 2018, I began teaching full-time in addition to summer horse camps.

I hope to provide young people the opportunity to connect with others over their love of horses, as well as provide them the tools to be responsible stewards of horses.

"In my opinion, there is no better place for a child to grow up than a horse barn.  Taylor Ranch serves as a wonderful place for them to learn and grow, and put into practice skills that will serve them for the rest of their lives. We love Morgan, Louise, Bella, all of the horses and everything about this place!"

Meet our Head of
Barn Security

Coconut "Coco"

Keeps rodent patrol on-task and effectively greets all barn guests. Occasionally graces us with a rodent or reptile to remind us of his efforts.

Named in honor of the day he arrived… the precious cartoon movie honoring Dia De Los Muertos.

On 80 acres, the main barn boasts a dedicated tack room, 6 stalls, feed room, and double wash rack with overhead hose booms. Each stall has a CoolBarn mounted fan, Noble feeders, and dutch doors for windows and turnouts. It is connected to an 85' x 120' covered arena. The secondary barn also hosts 6 stalls and is nestled under the shade of oak trees. Each stall location has access to turnout.

A 5-acre pasture is under construction and will serve as a large outdoor riding space.
